WHAT WE NEED ON EVERY PRESCRIPTION.

The fastest cases at IDA are the cases where the prescription is complete on day one. Incomplete prescriptions add a phone call and a delay before fabrication starts.

01

Patient information.

Name, ID, gender, age range. Helps us match the case to any shade or fit considerations.

02

Practice + dentist.

Practice name, prescribing dentist, contact phone, contact email. Where to call if we have a question.

03

Case type + tooth numbers.

What we’re making (crown, bridge, abutment, denture, partial, nightguard) and on which teeth. Universal numbering preferred.

04

Material + shade.

Material spec (zirconia, Emax, PFM, etc.), shade, any custom shade notes, layering preference.

05

Special instructions.

Anything case-specific: parafunctional notes, occlusal preferences, soft tissue notes, scanner type, implant system.

06

Turnaround request.

Standard or expedited. Note any patient-specific date constraints.

  • Implant system + scan reference + shade tab notation.
  • Parafunctional flag noted up front.
  • Complete on day one, no follow-up call required.

At minimum: patient identifier, practice and dentist, case type and tooth numbers, material and shade, scanner type or impression note. Anything missing usually means a phone call before fabrication.

Two paths. Either include the prescription PDF in the same upload as the scan file, or submit the prescription separately with the scan reference number included. See digital impressions for routing details by scanner.

The specialist on your case will call to ask. Fabrication starts once we have what we need. Adds a few hours, occasionally a day.
